Sarah O. Wilson
Sarah Overmyer Wilson retired as owner and publisher of The Rochester Sentinel in 2019, with her husband, Bill Wilson, who was editor.
Following graduation from Indiana University, she worked for the Anchorage Times, was managing editor of the Alaska Journal of Commerce and Pacific Rim Reporter and was an Associated Press correspondent in Alaska.
She and her family moved to Rochester in 1982 to join her father, Jack K. Overmyer, who owned and managed The Sentinel. He was inducted into the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame in 1999.
The Wilsons have two children and four grandchildren. They continue to live in Rochester and subscribe to numerous newspapers.
