Nelson Price

Nelson Price is an Indianapolis-based author, journalist, historian and radio host. An award-winning former feature writer/columnist for The Indianapolis Star, he specializes in writing Indiana-focused books, including “Indiana Legends: Famous Hoosiers from Johnny Appleseed to David Letterman,” “Legendary Hoosiers,” “Indianapolis Then and Now” and a biography of Ryan White.

A fifth-generation Hoosier, Price also hosts the radio talk show “Hoosier History Live” on WICR-FM in Indianapolis and has taught journalism at IUPUI. Early in his career, he was a news reporter for the (Fort Wayne) Journal Gazette and The Indianapolis News. He lives in Indianapolis.
