Indiana Authors names Boomhower regional award winner

IJHF board member Ray Boomhower is the regional author award winner of the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award program.

In a ceremony Oct. 9 in Indianapolis, Boomhower received his award as one of three authors with ties to Indiana. The national award winner was Scott Russell Sanders and the local winner was Greg Schwipps.

Boomhower is senior editor of the Indiana Historical Society’s quarterly popular history magazine Traces of Indiana and Midwestern History. He is author of numerous books, including the most recent, Fighter Pilot: The World War II Career of Alex Vraciu (2010).
