It’s never too soon to start thinking of nominating your mentor, your inspiration or admired colleague for the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame, where he or she could join more than 200 journalists who have shaped the field with their many contributions.
Deadline is Oct. 1, after which the IJHF nominating committee meets to decide the finalists. In November, the board selects the final nominees, who will be inducted in a ceremony in the spring.
Nomination is simple. First, write a letter elaborating on the reasons your nominee deserves induction. Include at least two seconding letters from other supporters and samples of the nominee’s work, such as articles, books and electronic productions, in your submission. The board prefers submission via e-mail, but you may use the U.S. Postal Service instead.
All other information about eligibility and specific directions for submitting your nomination is detailed on the the nomination page of this website.
