Tom Davies has been an editor and reporter for The Associated Press bureau in Indianapolis since 2000. He started in newspapers with delivery route for his hometown Shelbyville News when he was 10 years old. He worked for the Muncie Star and The Times of Northwest Indiana before joining the AP, where his reporting work has included the 2008 Obama-Clinton presidential primary campaign and the General Assembly.
Davies is a past president of the Indiana Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the former Indiana East Chapter in Muncie. He’s been a member of the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame’s board for most of the past 20 years and is a former president of the board.
