Ken Beckley

Kenneth A. Beckley was part of the first Indianapolis co-anchor news team for NBC Indianapolis affiliate WFBM (now WRTV) in the early 1970s. He then became the first  director of media relations for IUPUI and served as president and CEO of the IU Alumni Association. This member of the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame also was an associate vice president and spokesperson for H.H. Gregg.
A studio in the IU Media School is named for Beckley and his wife, Audrey. The couple moved to Bloomington, where he serves on Media School Dean James Shanahan’s advisory board. Beckley is the author of Knuckleball and the just-released An Act of Frustration. He is a native of Lynnville, Indiana.
